I always go to these guys for oil change and maintenance and highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for car repair cervices. They take really good care of me, and they are always very professional and nice. Their prices are reasonable and they finish everything at a decent amount of time. And the owner Sean is awesome!

I’ve been going to Ruben at his old shop (Los Feliz Auto) since I moved to LA almost 3 years ago and am thrilled to follow him to his new shop. The Hollywood Auto Center just expanded and is a really great space. There is a comfortable waiting area that is very clean and much nicer than any other waiting area I’ve ever experienced. It feels like you are at a dealership. The guys will make sure to get you in and out as quickly as possible, while not sacrificing any efficiency in service. Ruben is affordable and honest and gives every customer the time needed to do the job right. He always explains exactly what’s going on and walks you through exact costs and gives detailed advice so you feel super informed going into each decision that needs to be made. Most recently I had my break pads replaced, a new battery put in and an oil change. Everything’s working great now!

This place was great! Friendly people, fair prices, in-and-out smog check in 15 minutes. Everything was perfect.

I recently purchased a Volvo C70 from Sean at Hollywood Auto Center. The process of buying the car was relatively straightforward and hassle-free; the car was very clean all-around, and he had no problem allowing me to take the vehicle to an independent mechanic for an inspection. The inspection revealed several issues that needed to be repaired, and Sean both lowered the price of the vehicle and offered to complete one of the repairs on site (passenger lock actuator), at no expense to me. He also agreed to provide the labor for the other needed repair, as long as I paid for the parts (motor mounts). As far as I can tell from my interactions with him, Sean is very fair and reasonable.

We were looking for a Volvo 240 Station Wagon (last made in 1993!) for our son who has always loved that car. Good ones are very hard to find, and cars that old often have lots wrong with them, and terrible cosmetics. Hollywood Auto Center had one that appealed to us, but we were out of State. Sean was very easy to work with. He agreed to let us have the car checked by an independent mechanic and drove it to the certified Volvo specialist we chose. He gave us a list of the work he had done (hoses, brakes, timing belt, etc) and the independent mechanic confirmed that work was done and done well. The mechanic came up with a short list of other items he would recommend (front shock absorbers, rear door lock needed repair, sun visor clips etc) and also gave us his impressions of the condition of the car – mechanically and cosmetically. It was just as advertised by Hollywood Auto Center. Sean agreed to do most of the items identified (a few – like rear windshield wiper we both agreed weren’t worth doing). The price negotiation was fair and very business like. Sean has us picked up at the Burbank airport, allowed us to test drive the car as much as we wanted, made the paperwork very easy, and (because he knew we were going to drive it a long way back) gave us a quart of oil and some water and coolant in case we needed it. We put 750 miles on the car after we drove it off the lot, and are very pleased with our purchase. We would definitely do business with Hollywood Auto Center again and highly recommend them.
